Hi guys. Today I'm going to write about what I'm reading at the moment. It's called One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. Some people will whiney about it because "it's a book of basic lecture", but I really dont care and I'm not a big fan of books. The genre is magical realist. I'm Reading it because its amazing. I'm at the first half of it and the story its very interesting. Its about the story of the Buendía family in the town of Macondo. The founding man of Macondo, José Arcadio Buendía, and his wife, leave Riohacha, Colombia, to find a better life and a new home. One night of their emigration journey, while camping on a riverbank, José Arcadio Buendía dreams of "Macondo", a city of mirrors that reflected the world in and about it. Upon awakening, he decides to found Macondo at the river side; after days of wandering the jungle. That's like the very first part of the plot.
Even though I'm reading that book, I prefer geographical, economical and sociological ones than novels. I'm too lazy for the last ones.
I prefer night for Reading. There are not disturbing sounds like car horns, ambulances, or even helicopters (I live near Posta Central...). It's very quiet and confortable. The bad thing is that I fall sleep a bit late so waking up is a torture sometimes.
One Hundred Years of Solitude is a very entertaining book.
